The organizer association of the Hypomeeting
The goal: to promote the next generation of athletics and to help shape the future of athletics in the long term.
Since the first time in 1975 up to and including 1999 the now hypomeeting Götzis was organized by the athletics community Montfort. On the initiative of OC President Werner Ströhle and Meeting Director Konrad Lerch, the "Association for the Promotion of Athletics (VFL)" was founded in 2000. Since then the VFL acts as organizer.
The purpose of the VFL is primarily to ensure the organization of the Hypomeeting Götzis, which is now part of the World Athletics Combined Events Tour "Gold Level", and the support of projects that serve to promote athletics - especially the combined events.
The annual event as well as the side events for kids and teens is only made possible by the cooperation of exclusively voluntary staff: from the organizing committee to the referees, the setting up of the side event or the merchandising - more than 400 volunteers are involved.
For us as organizers of the Hypomeeting Götzis, fair play is a matter of course. Fair Play refers not only to the observance of the competition rules, but above all to the attitude of all participants.

Respectful interaction between sports officials, athletes and coaches
Respect for the referees and judges
Respectful behavior of the audience
Respect and consideration for the opponent
To "limit" the winning motive (no victory at any price)
