It took a long time for the official results of World Athletics’ Competition Performance Ranking to be published, but it is now official: Just as in 2025, Hypomeeting Götzis was the Combined Events competition with the best result score in 2026. With a Result Score of 9,721 points, the performances achieved at Hypomeeting Götzis rank first for the second consecutive year – this year ahead of the European Championships in Birmingham (9,657 points) and the World Indoor Championships in Toruń (9,587 points).

In the Combined Events Competition Score, which also takes the strength of the field into account through the Participation Score, the World Indoor Championships in Toruń lead Hypomeeting Götzis by just six (!) points, with 10,467 points. The sensational world record in the indoor heptathlon by Simon Ehammer (SUI) played an important role in the Competition Score for the World Indoor Championships, earning the event an additional 120 bonus points. The European Championships in Birmingham finished just four points behind Götzis in the Competition Score.
