With a total score of 3,653 points, Annik Kälin (SUI) comfortably won this year’s overall World Athletics Combined Events Tour standings, ahead of Adrianna Sulek-Schubert (POL) with 3,458 points and Noor Vidts (BEL) with 3,407 points. For Kälin, the results from Götzis (6,726 points = 1,218 Scoring Points), Ratingen (6,819 points = 1,236) and the European Championships in Birmingham (6,630 points = 1,199) counted toward her Tour total.

She accumulated a total of 20,175 heptathlon points, which places her third on the all-time list, behind Anna Hall-Slayton (20,817 points – 2025) and Carolina Klüft (20,399 points – 2005). Since 2022, indoor Combined Events have also counted toward the Tour based on Scoring Points.

A curiosity: The athlete finishing eighth in the overall Combined Events Tour standings does not have a heptathlon result among her counting performances. Whether that was actually the intention remains an open question.

Simon Ehammer (SUI) won the World Athletics Combined Events Tour with 3,703 tour points. His results from the World Indoor Championships heptathlon in Toruń (6,670 points = 1,274 Scoring Points), the Silver Level meeting Multistars in Brescia (8,361 points = 1,182) and Hypomeeting Götzis (8,778 points = 1,247 Scoring Points) all contributed to his total. German Leo Neugebauer finished second with 3,676 Tour points, ahead of Hakim McMorris (USA) with 3,597 points.

World Athletics awards a total of USD 101,000 in prize money to the top eight athletes in both the heptathlon and decathlon, as well as in the indoor “side events,” the heptathlon and pentathlon. Considering that each winner at the recently held Ultimate Championships in Budapest received USD 150,000, the total prize money awarded across the World Athletics Combined Events Tour to the eight highest-ranked athletes seems rather modest…
