As early as 50 BC, two well-known personalities from a small Gallic village strolled along the Promenade des Bretons in Nice on the occasion of their Tour de France.
2075 years later, three highly deserving volunteers from the Hypomeeting did the same:
Armin Hug
Herbert Mayer and
Hans Aberer
They have been working uninterruptedly for the Hypomeeting since 1975, an incredible 50 years -as founding fathers, heads of the working team, decathletes, judges and officials.
This unique loyalty deserves special appreciation. Accompanied by meeting president Alexandra Giesinger, the three were invited on a short trip to Monte Carlo.

Nice and Monaco
After the group had landed in Nice early in the morning and checked into their hotel, a tour of the city was on the agenda, which naturally included a walk along the "Promenade des Anglais".
The next day we went to Monaco, where we visited the headquarters of the World Association of Athletics Federations. A highlight was the invitation to lunch together with the competition commission, which is made up of members from all 5 continents and 13 countries. The content of the small talk with the representatives from Finland, Japan and China was not disclosed :).
In the evening, our heroes were invited to the Diamond League Meeting "Herculis", where they met top athletics. The next morning they returned home via Zurich.
The three friends will remember this wonderful trip for a long time to come.
