Combined Events Tour: Intermediate ranking

2025, A Total of 12 Combined Events Tour Competitions Available

In total, heptathletes and decathletes have 12 combined events competitions available to them this year as part of the Combined Events Tour. For the overall standings, the three best results are taken into account. In addition, a maximum of one result from the so-called "Major Events" is considered. This year, these include the World Championships in Tokyo (JPN), the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing (CHN), and the European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn (NED).

Men’s Interim Standings:

  • Götzis winner Sander Skotheim (NOR, 3754 points) ahead of
  • Kyle Garland (USA, 3647 points) and
  • Simon Ehammer (SUI, 3633 points).

The total score is based on the sum of World Ranking points. For example, Skotheim’s 8909 points from Götzis equate to a Result Score of 1268 for the World Ranking. Added to that are his performances from the indoor meets in Tallinn (1235) and the European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn (1251). Thanks to his outstanding performances, Skotheim is all but assured of overall victory, along with the $30,000 winner’s prize.

Ayden Owens-Delerme (PUR) is currently ranked 17th with two results and 2402 points. To push Simon Ehammer off the podium, he would need to score 8672 points at the World Championships, which would translate to 1231 points in the World Ranking. Converting combined event points into world ranking points remains a tricky business...

Women’s Interim Standings:

Women’s Interim Standings In the heptathlon, Martha Araujo (COL) currently leads the standings. However, American athletes Anna Hall and Michelle Atherley are expected to make a strong push for the overall victory in the final stages of the tour.
